The Verbarrator

Anyone who decides to learn Spanish will have to take on the challenge of learning of how to conjugate Spanish verbs.  The process of learning how to conjugate Spanish verbs has traditionally been the rote memorization process.  You study with flash cards, buy a few books with written exercises, drill with buddies, maybe you even have an app on your phone.  No matter how you do it, it isn't fun.

And until now, there has never been a tool like the Verbarrator to help you learn how to conjugate Spanish verbs in a way that's fun, fast, and easy

Lucky for us someone came up with a better way.  That's where the Verbarrator comes in.  The Verbarrator is a piece of software that claims to be the best Spanish verb conjugation tool ever.  Let's take a closer look at the Verbarrator and see if it even comes close to meeting its claim of being the best Spanish verb conjugation tool ever.

So how does the Verbarrator work? By talking to you.  Let me explain.

The Verbarrator generates a complete sentence in English for you to translate using the verb, tense and person you selected.  You hear and see the sentence spoken in English. You then translate it by speaking out loud, and after the amount of time you set to allow yourself to conjugate and translate the sentence has expired,  the Verbarrator displays and speaks the correct translation and verb conjugation.

Pretty cool huh?  The Verbarrator is actually helping you do more than just conjugate those Spanish verbs.  You practice listening, reading, translating, speaking and conjugating Spanish verbs all at one time.

Conjugating Spanish verbs have never been easier or more fun.  And while I have no statistical proof, I'm betting that your retention level is going to be much higher because you're not just doing rote memorization, you're engaging all of the elements of real communication and using them in practical examples.  You'll probably even pick up a little bit of vocabulary as well.

Let's take a tour of the Verbarrator.  I'm not going to walk through all of the Verbarrator's features  in detail, I'm just going to show you some of the more significant features of the product.

Here's the opening screen you see when you start the Verbarrator.

Let's dig a little deeper.  Here's a few more images of the Verbarrator:

The top portion of the Verbarrator is where you get started.

Here's a closer look the Person Filter.  The Verbarrator allows you to choose which "person" of the verb conjugation you want to focus on:

These options allow you select the verbs and tenses you want to work with.  Not everyone has the same needs when it comes to conjugating Spanish verbs, so the Verbarrator is highly configurable so you can focus on exactly what you need.   Spanish verb conjugation, your way.

Here are a few images of what the Verbarrator looks like while you're practicing.

Let's zoom in on the verb player.  Notice that it displays the tense, the verb you're practicing and the sentence you need to translate.  The number 4 that you see is the countdown timer.  Once the time expires the Verbarrator will speak the correct translation and conjugation.  Again, the Verbarrator is completely customizable, you can set the countdown timer to give you up to twelve seconds to figure out the correct Spanish verb conjugation.

This is what the Verbarrator looks like after the timer has expired.  Remember, you will see and hear the correct Spanish verb conjugation.

Also notice the verb queue.  It shows you the verbs that your currently practicing.  Again, the Verbarrator allows you to customize this list.

That's it, that's the grand tour.  Or should I say that's the end of my grand tour.  As you can see the Verbarrator is an amazing piece of software.  Is it the best Spanish verb conjugation tool ever?  If it's not, it's pretty darn close.  I own a copy myself, which is a big deal because I'm not a fan of using any learning Spanish product that ties me to my computer, nor do I really care for using software for learning Spanish.  But once I tried the Verbarrator, I couldn't deny that it's a great tool for practicing Spanish verb conjugations.

While a picture is worth a thousand words, a video demonstration of the Verbarrator is worth 10 times that. If you've already decided the Verbarrator is a tool you need to have, click here to get your copy of the Verbarrator.  Otherwise, read on.

Here's the offical video demo.  It's a little long, but you don't have to watch it all to get the idea.

You can also click here to check out the Verbarrator product page to get even more info about the Verbarrator.

If you have a few dollars to spare, you definitely want to download a copy of the Verbarrator or order a copy on CD.  It's pretty reasonably priced and well worth the money if you're serious about learning Spanish.
